Arizona DUI implied consent law unconstitutional

No DUI charges for marijuana metabolites in Arizona

Despite the fact that Prop 203 specicaly says a medical marijuana patient can't be arrested for DUI because they have marijuana metabolites in their body, the police not wanting to end the "War on Drugs", which is really a "jobs program for cops" have continued to arrest medical marijuana patients for DUI when there is no evidence whatsoever that they are driving stoned, solely because they have marijuana metabolites in their body.

According to this article the Arizona Supreme Court says those arrestes are unconstitutional and that the police must stop arresting medical marijuana patients for DUI simply because they have marijuana metabolites in their bodies.

When the government investigates it self, usually one of two things happen

Stephen Banta is the Valley Metro CEO who has been using our tax dollars on $500 a night hotel rooms in Europe and $500 meals on business trips.

Stephen Banta was being paid $264,493 until he resigned as a result of the Arizona Republic investigation. He also got a $25,000 bonus in August.

But don't expect the sh*tty Valley Metro bus service to improve. The bus I take every day is usually late. Today it was 8 minutes late. Yesterday it was 5 minutes late, on Monday it was 20 minute late.

Secret Tempe Grave Yard???

A secret cemetery in Tempe and Guadalupe???

I was riding my bike around in Tempe and discovered this graveyard in the middle of a nice residential neighborhood near Arizona Mills Mall.

The grave yard is near Beck Avenue & Fremont Drive, right smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood. You can only get there by driving thru the residential neighborhoods.

The major cross streets are Priest Drive and Hardy Drive to the west and east, and Baseline Road and the Superstition Freeway and Western Canal to the north.

The graveyard is kind of behind that Home Depot on Baseline. But you can't get there from Home Depot.

Since it's labeled Guadalupe Cemetery I suspect it was used to bury people from the nearby town of Guadalupe.

I think the town of Guadalupe was initially created when a large number of Yaqui Indians fled from Mexico as political refuges to Arizona. Maybe during the Mexican Revolution. I am not sure of the exact history.

A large number of the graves were in Spanish rather then English. I kind of felt like I was in Mexico when I was wandering around.

I will probably go back next week and take lots more pictures.

Currently about 400 people have been released from death row or long term prison sentences after DNA testing revealed the police framed them. Sadly every time I go to an AU meeting in Phoenix, they seem to be more about pushing the values of the Arizona Democratic Party rather then fighting to keep church and state separate.

I was initially confused because the article did not cite the Northwest Ordinance.

Don't worry that your leader is some marathon runner who will leave you in the dust. I'm 48 years old and 320 lbs., and I struggle to keep up with my 78 year old Catholic mountain climbing partner. The trail is fairly level, and there isn't a lot of steep climbing. I must warn you there is NO DRINKING WATER either at the trailhead or at any point along the trail. You must bring your own. This is essential on any desert hike, even in winter. I don't ordinarily cancel my solo hikes due to unanticipated weather conditions, but as this trail crosses washes in several locations, I will cancel if there is heavy rain or evident flash flooding. To go in such conditions would be hazardous.

I got this t-shirt around 17 years ago in Washington D.C. at the annual marijuana smoke out in front of the White House on July 4, 1998.

I will usually vote for an atheist any day of the year over a religious person, because I know they won't be passing laws forcing their religion on me.

A long time ago I sent James Woods a message on Facebook asking for his position on the "War on Drugs" and on legalizing marijuana. I was kind of p*ssed because he never responded to my message.

Since James Wood didn't respond to my message I suspect he is one of those politicians who will try and keep REAL positions secret he thinks it will cause him to lose your vote.

I call those people hypocrites. I don't know if James Wood is a hypocrite or not. But he never responded to my questions, so I am guessing he is a hypocrite.

I also think that James Woods is against the Second Amendment and wants to take our guns away from use.

He mentioned something along those lines at either a Phoenix Freedom From Religion Foundation meeting or a Phoenix Americans United for Separation of Church and State (Phoenix AU) meeting.

U.S. Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema is the only other atheist I know in govenrment.

I am not too happy with her either because when she was a member of the Arizona legislator she tried to flush Prop 203 or Arizona's Medical Marijuana Act down the toilet by slapping a 300% tax on medical marijuana. That attempt failed.

Most modern cell phones will allow you to record the location of any photos you shoot by embedding meta tags which contain the GPS location the photo was shot in the photo's files.
