Sadly most of the states that have legalized either recreational marijuana or medical marijuana have passes laws pushed by MPP or Marijuana Policy Project.
The Marijuana Policy Project seems to be run by a bunch of very smart businessmen who know they can make millions by legalizing marijuana for themselves and a very small number of their buddies.
The MPP mode of operation is for complete and total legalization of marijuana for a very small number of businesses which are given a monopoly on growing and selling marijuana.
On the other hand when it comes to the consumer side of the equation the MPP mode of operation is to only legalize very small amounts of marijuana and forbid or limit growing of marijuana.
In this cause by limiting consumers to possessing very small amounts of marijuana the marijuana cartel which is created by the MPP initiatives can use those laws to have the police put anybody in prison that cuts into their outrageously high profits.
I think their logic is if you have more then an ounce of marijuana you are cutting into their monopoly.
The same is true for growing marijuana.
The MPP initiatives severely limit the number of marijuana plants consumers can grow.
And of course any consumers that grow over the small number of plants allowed are jail for cutting into the lucrative monopoly of the MPP marijuana cartels.
Here in Arizona medical marijuana purchased legally at the medical marijuana dispensaries costs $300 an ounce.
Here is Arizona the same marijuana purchased on the black market illegally costs one fifth of the $300 an ounce legal price for $60 an ounce.
Because of the outrageous 25 mile limit in Arizona's Medical Marijuana Act less then 4 percent of Arizona's Medical Marijuana patients are allowed to grow their marijuana.
That forces the other 96% of Arizona's medical marijuana patients to pay $300 an ounce rip off prices at the medical marijuana dispensaries.
And even the people that can grow plants are limited to 12 marijuana plants.
If you live in a state that wants to legalize marijuana and and MPP is pushing the initiative you should do everyting possible to shut down the MPP initiative.
The jerks at MPP are not for ending the evil, draconian marijuana laws that have jailed millions of Americans for victimless marijuana crimes.
The creeps at MPP are for milling millions of dollars for themselves by selling marijuana to the public at rip off prices that are far higher then black market prices.
