Links about Kyrsten Sinema 300% tax on Medical Marijuana in Arizona

OK, here are a few links to articles about Kyrsten Sinema 300% tax which she attempted to slap on medical marijuana in Arizona. You know how to Google. If you don't like these article you can Google a few more!!!!

1) Kyrsten Sinema tried to slap this insane tax on marijuana when she was a member of the Arizona Legislator, not in her current job as a member of the US Congress.

2) The attempt to pass the tax failed. But even if it passed it would have almost certainly been unconstitutional.

3) Even if the tax failed Kyrsten Sinema is still a tax and spend tyrant who supports the police state and military industrial complex based on her voting records. Sadly Krysten Sinema is a Democrats who votes like a Republican. Want a minute Kyrsten Simema is a member of the Green Party who runs as a Democrat because she knows she can't get elected running as a Green Party member.

These guys really love Kyrsten Sinema

In this
blog on Atheist Nexus Louis Edward Wambsganss III, Jeffrey Witthauer and Joshua A. Michail seem to really love US Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema.

They remind me of Christians proudly bragging that religion is the one true correct religion despite there not being any facts to support that.

This is what the blog says:

Aname Abetter

September 16 at 1:26pm

It's time to boot US Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema out of office. When Kyrsten Sinema was a member of the Arizona legislator she tried to kill Prop 203 which is Arizona's Medical Marijuana Act by slapping a 300% tax on medical marijuana.

That tax would have added a $900 an ounce tax on medical marijuana which currently sells for about $300 an ounce bankrupting many medical marijuana patients.

Kyrsten Sinema loves to talk about how she supports the little people, but when Kyrsten Sinema votes she supports the police state and military industrial complex.

Last but not least Kyrsten Sinema is an atheist. An atheist we should be ashamed of.

It's to boot U.S. Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema out of office - She tried to slap a 300 percent, thats a 300%, $900 and ounce tax on medical marijuana

More on Kyrsten Sinema's 300% tax on Medical Marijuana

Kyrsten Sinema tried to slap a 300% tax on medical marijuana

October 5, 2014 - I was just over at the Tempe Liberary where they were having a Latino, Mexican Tardeada Festival.

The Democrats had a booth at the event and they were pushing their hero tax and spend Kyrsten Sinema.

When I brought up the fact that US Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema tried to slap a 300% tax on medical marijuana when she was a member of the Arizona Legislator they all lied and denied it.

Well except for one of them who knew me. She was kind of embarrased, expescially when I mentioned that Kyrsten Sinema's voting record shows she is a big time supporter of the police state and military industrial complex.

Here is a Kyrsten Sinema web page at the Arizona Legislator which links you to bill HB 2557. That's the bill she sponsered with the 300% tax on medical marijuana.

Kyrsten Sinema is using your tax dollars to help herself get re-elected

Kyrsten Sinema uses government seminars get re-elected???

Veterans' benefits forum set for Friday

These events put on by US Congressmen and US Senators are usually just events to help them suck in votes and get reelected.

Congress actually publishes books and documents showing them how to do this. I think they even give classes for them at the Capital.

U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema isn't the only Congresswoman that does it, they all do it.

First they pass a bunch of silly laws that are impossible to comprehend by most of the population.

Then they put on seminars and events like these and help you wade thru the nonsense they created.

And THEY hope that after THEY bail you out of the problem THEY created that you will vote for THEM.

Note in the flyer I attached to this that Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell, and Tempe City Councilman Corry Woods and Tempe City Councilwoman Robin Arredondo-Savage are using Kyrsten Sinema's seminal to get a few votes for themselves.

Last isn't it ironic that Kyrsten Sinema tried to flush Prop 203 which is Arizona's Medical Marijuana Act down the toilet by slapping a 300% tax on medical marijuana, but in this seminar Kyrsten Sinema claims to want to help vets with PTSD, many who need medical marijuana.

Veterans' benefits forum set for Friday

Paul Giblin, The Republic | azcentral.com 11 a.m. MST October 15, 2014

Federal, state and municipal officials will be available during a 10-hour forum in the East Valley Friday to help veterans sign up for medical care and other benefits.

The event, "Veterans Healthcare, Benefits and Resources Clinic," is set for 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. at Rio Salado College, 3320 S. Price Road, Tempe. It's intended to be a one-stop shop for veterans.

Department of Veterans Affairs advisers will provide one-on-one counseling concerning eligibility for benefits including disability compensation, rehabilitation, pensions, home loans, education and employment.

Professionals also will be available to discuss grief, sexual trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, Medicaid eligibility and more.

Several service organizations with programs geared toward veterans also have representatives available. No appointments are required.

U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., whose district includes the Phoenix VA hospital, said the clinic is needed because the VA's outreach efforts are not reaching far enough.

"We found that many veterans were unaware or did not have access to all available resources," she said during a teleconference Tuesday to promote the event. Other veterans are reluctant to approach the VA, she said.

About 400 veterans and their families attended a similar clinic in July in Phoenix, Sinema said.

VA Secretary Bob McDonald told Sinema Friday that Phoenix VA officials believe they've worked through long lists of veterans waiting for medical appointments, she said. Phoenix was the epicenter of a national scandal in the spring and summer that involved VA employees manipulating wait-time data, which endangered patients' lives, in order to receive salary bonuses.

Former VA Secretary Eric Shinseki resigned, and Congress rushed through reform legislation. At the Phoenix facility, 353 of 1,074 newly identified high-priority positions have been filled to date, according to information McDonald provided to Sinema.

In a related matter, Sinema said she declined to recommend Phoenix resident and Gulf War veteran James H. Binns to fill new vacancies on the VA's Research Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans' Illnesses after Binns told her he did not want the position.

Binns had served on the committee for 12 years. McDonald allowed his term to expire last month after Binns and other committee members went public with complaints that VA administrators rebuffed their conclusions that as many as 250,000 Gulf War vets suffer from health problems associated with the 1991 conflict in Kuwait and Iraq

Kyrsten Sinema a Communist???

As I was going down Arizona Avenue in Chandler I noticed that a number of Kyrsten Sinema's signs had been vandalized and people had placed bumper stickers on them calling Kyrsten Sinema a "communist" and a "atheist".

I have know Kyrsten Sinema for years and she definitely is an atheist like I am.

Kyrsten Sinema is also a socialist, at least base on the way she votes and talks.

Personally I don't think a "communist" is much different then a "socialist", Democrat or a Republican. So I guess on my definition she is also a communist, although I call her a socialist which I think is more accurate.

Kyrsten Sinema a Communist and atheist???

Sinema challenger Gammill: Vets should fend for selves

From a Libertarian point of view I suspect that U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema is probably the worst elected official in the history of Arizona.
"On virtually every issue, Democratic U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema's positions were diametrically opposed to libertarian opponent Powell Gammill's"
The only statement from Powell I would disagree with from a Libertarian point of view is this
"Gammill supports open borders and called for states to regain authority over immigration from the federal government"
From a Libertarian point of view we support open borders and there is no need for the government to control or even regulate immigration. If a person wants to cross a border, that should be their decision, not some government nannies.

Sinema challenger Gammill: Vets should fend for selves

Rebekah L. Sanders, The Republic | azcentral.com 12:43 p.m. MST October 21, 2014

The contrasts couldn't have been starker in the only general-election debate of the 9th Congressional District.

On virtually every issue, Democratic U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema's positions were diametrically opposed to libertarian opponent Powell Gammill's. Republican challenger Wendy Rogers did not participate in the Monday debate on the public-television show Horizon.

Sinema, a freshman, touted "hitting the ground running" during her first two years in Congress and reaching across the aisle, while Gammill urged voters to boycott the "corrupt" political system and avoid the polls.

Sinema said, on immigration, border security should be improved and that undocumented immigrants currently in the U.S. should be given a path to citizenship. Gammill supports open borders and called for states to regain authority over immigration from the federal government.

Sinema took every opportunity to talk about improving care for veterans. Gammill said veterans don't deserve benefits and should be "tossed out" on their own. He said the federal government should cut all spending and collect no taxes.

Veterans Affairs reform is an attractive issue for Sinema. She has two brothers who are veterans. The Phoenix VA hospital, epicenter of the scandal over the bureaucracy's handling of health care for veterans, is located in her swing district. And it earns her crossover appeal from independent and Republican voters.

Holding her hand up for the camera, Sinema displayed a black ring on her "trigger" finger that she said is meant to remind her of the 21 veterans on average who kill themselves each day.

"This issue is so important to me. We can't let it go," Sinema said. "We're losing our patriots to suicide."

Sinema rattled off legislation she introduced or supported to make it easier to expand mental-health care for veterans, fire delinquent VA administrators and reform the larger system.

Gammill, in contrast, said veterans should fend for themselves.

"I would basically toss 'em on their own," he said. "I don't believe in stealing people's money (through taxes) and spending it on veterans. I don't believe we owe this to them."

Gammill said veterans should turn to charitable organizations if they need help. The United States should stop going to war to reduce the number of injured veterans, he said.

Fact Check: Sinema's support for veteran issues

Julia Shumway, The Republic | azcentral.com 10:02 p.m. MST October 24, 2014

WHO SAID IT: Kyrsten Sinema

OFFICE: U.S. House of Representatives for the Tempe-based 9th Congressional District

PARTY: Democrat

THE RACE: Arizona's 9th Congressional District

THE COMMENT: "In my time in Congress over the last two years, I've been at the forefront of working to stop veteran suicide. ... During my tenure in the state House and state Senate and now in Congress, I've put military families and veterans' issues at the forefront."

THE FORUM: "Politics Unplugged" on KTVK Channel 3

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT: Whether incumbent Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema has emphasized military and veterans' issues during her time in the state Legislature and Congress.

ANALYSIS: Veterans' issues have become a key point of debate in the race to represent the 9th Congressional District, which encompasses Tempe and Ahwatukee and parts of Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler and south Phoenix.

The Department of Veterans Affairs crisis first came to light in Phoenix, and both Sinema and Republican challenger Wendy Rogers have personal connections to veterans issues.

Sinema's older brother is a retired marine and her younger brother serves in the Navy. Rogers is a retired Air Force pilot.

The two clashed over veterans' issues earlier in the year, after Sinema released an ad highlighting the suicide of a constituent who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and didn't get help from the VA. Daniel Somers became a posthumous poster child for problems at the VA after his suicide letter went viral and his parents began campaigning for reform.

Rogers referred to the ad as "exploitative, offensive, and in poor taste."

Sinema, both in the ad and in other statements about her actions in Congress and the state Legislature, cited her brothers to explain why she takes veterans' issues personally.

Sinema served in the Arizona House for six years, including two as assistant minority leader. She was elected to the state Senate in 2010 and resigned in January 2012 to run for Congress.

During her seven years in the state Legislature, Sinema introduced more than 150 bills, but fewer than 10 had to do with veterans or military families. She proposed more bills on the death penalty, LGBTQA rights, comprehensive sex education and renewable energy.

In 2010, she authored a bill to give veterans automatic residency status for tuition purposes. It died in committee. She introduced an identical bill as a state senator the following year; the House version of this bill became law.

A 2011 bill she authored that became law clarified custody for parents on military deployment. It requires courts to expediently resolve any modifications to custody plans caused by deployment and take into account the deploying parent's military family-care plan, which designates a caretaker.

One bill that passed the state Senate but not the House in 2011 would have prevented spouses or minor children from being disqualified for unemployment benefits if they had to move with a military spouse or parent.

Sinema has placed a greater emphasis on veterans issues during her time in Congress.

In 2013, Sinema proposed four veteran-related bills that failed to gain committee approval. HR 1987 would have increased the amount the Department of Veterans Affairs could pay for funerals. HR 3053 would have extended the VA's ability to provide scholarships. HR 3187 was one of several bills proposed in the House and Senate to preserve military pay during the government shutdown. HR 3387 aimed to improve mental health care for veterans who had served on classified missions.

She proposed two more bills in 2014, both of which failed to gain committee approval. One, in response to the revelation that as dozens of veterans died while waiting for care at the Phoenix VA, would have required the department to provide care at non-department facilities. Another would have limited the VA's ability to provide bonuses to employees.

Sinema has also been involved with veteran outreach away from Capitol Hill. She released a 27-page guide of veteran resources in her district and has hosted forums highlighting these resources.

BOTTOM LINE: Military and veteran issues make up a majority of the bills Sinema has proposed in Congress, as well as work she's done in her district. However, it's not accurate to say Sinema put military and veteran issues at the forefront during her time in the state Legislature when only a handful of the measures she proposed were related to veterans.

THE FINDING: Two stars, somewhat true, somewhat false

James Woods an atheist running for Congress

James Woods - atheist gun grabber running for US Congress
James Woods an atheist running for Congress

I will usually vote for an atheist any day of the year over a religious person, because I know they won't be passing laws forcing their religion on me.

A couple of months ago I sent James Woods a message on Facebook asking for his position on the "War on Drugs" and on legalizing marijuana. I was kind of p*ssed because he never responded to my message.

I also think that James Woods is against the Second Amendment and wants to take our guns away from use.

He mentioned something along those lines at either a Phoenix Freedom From Religion Foundation meeting or a Phoenix Americans United for Separation of Church and State meeting.

U.S. Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema is the only other atheist I know in govenrment.

I am not too happy with her either because when she was a member of the Arizona legislator she tried to flush Prop 203 or Arizona's Medical Marijuana Act down the toilet by slapping a 300% tax on medical marijuana. That attempt failed.

U.S. Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema says she supports decriminalizing marijuana, but I think she is lying because of the tax she tried to slap on medical marijuana.

I used to know U.S. Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema when she was an anti-war activist, but it looks like she has sold out the cause since she got elected. While she talks like she supports the little guy she consistently votes to support the police state and military industrial complex.

U.S. Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema is also a big time gun grabber who would love to flush the 2nd Amendment down the toilet.

Disability, demographics not stopping James Woods

Dan Nowicki, The Republic | azcentral.com 2:11 a.m. MST October 26, 2014 v Progressive Democrat James Woods is running against Rep. Matt Salmon, R-Ariz., in a Republican-dominated Arizona district. Woods hopes to become the first blind member of Congress since 1941.

Before he gives an address at an East Valley event, congressional hopeful James Woods listens for a campaign staffer to cough. That way, he knows which direction to face as he speaks.

Woods, 35, has been blind since January 2007, a consequence of diabetes and a flesh-eating MRSA infection.

If elected Nov. 4 as a Democrat in Arizona's Republican-dominated 5th Congressional District, he would become the first blind member of the U.S. House of Representatives since U.S. Rep. Matthew Dunn, a Pennsylvania Democrat, left in 1941.

"It provides some humor for the campaign sometimes," Woods said. "It has presented some challenges, but it's been a really good experience for me overall, because it's gotten me out of my comfort zone."

The first-time political candidate faces daunting political odds. He is running against incumbent U.S. Rep. Matt Salmon, R-Ariz., who has dramatically outraised him. As of Oct. 15, Woods' campaign had $136 on hand compared with Salmon's $540,260.

The voter demographics of the 5th District, which includes Gilbert and parts of Mesa and Chandler, pose an almost impossible hurdle for a Democrat under normal political conditions. As of Aug. 26, the district's voter-registration breakdown was 180,647 Republicans, 145,597 independents and 84,652 Democrats. Find all of the candidate information you need! Need help getting started? Register to vote here.

Woods says he is under no illusions about his chances, and, in fact, is making no compromises to the political realities. Rather than trying to run as a centrist or a conservative Democrat in an attempt to appeal to the red district's middle ground, he is campaigning as an unapologetic progressive and open atheist.

"One of the goals of the campaign is presenting the other side of the argument, and trying to discuss that there are other options," Woods told The Arizona Republic during an interview at his campaign headquarters at a Gilbert home. "I am representing my true self."

Salmon, 56, told The Republic that Woods has earned his respect by sticking to his beliefs and has presented voters with a clear contrast of left vs. right political philosophies. Salmon said his brand of conservatism is a better reflection of the district's deep-redcomplexion.

"I really think it's kind of refreshing for the voters to have such a stark choice," Salmon said. "You have the classic conservative and the classic liberal. It is what it is, and let the chips fall where they may."

Woods' battle with the antibiotic- resistant infection, which put him in the hospital and care facilities for 19 months, made him even more passionate about health care, which he considers "a human right."

He supports comprehensive immigration reform and is a critic of the Supreme Court's Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission decision, which ruled that political spending is protected as free speech under the First Amendment and gave corporations and labor unions the go-ahead to try to influence elections through expensive advertising campaigns.

Another priority of the Woods campaign is to show compassion for people with disabilities and to give a voice to immigrants and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

Woods supports abortion rights and said he would fight for a "secular government that doesn't discriminate based on faith or lack of faith."

Woods said atheism focuses on something he doesn't believe in, whereas "humanism is what I do. I believe everyone has the right to dignity and respect."

The Woods campaign, which includes three paid staffers and otherwise relies on interns and volunteers, is the underdog but has shown a flair for public relations and social media.

Woods garnered national attention after he replied to a candidate questionnaire from the anti-abortion National Pro-Life Alliance with condoms in packages labeled "Prevent Abortion." More recently, his campaign spotlighted how easy it was for Woods to buy a firearm without a background check at a Mesa gun show.

His campaign news releases regularly refer to Woods as a "blind congressional candidate," and he says he doesn't mind when people describe him that way. "It's accurate," he deadpanned.

House and Senate historical records show several visually impaired lawmakers have served on Capitol Hill, including longtime U.S. Rep. Mo Udall, D-Ariz., who lost an eye as the result of a childhood accident.

There have been three blind senators and two other senators who had one eye removed.

Longtime Mesa City Councilman Dennis Kavanaugh, a Democrat, said he has been impressed with Woods' candidacy, even if it is the longest of long shots in what most would consider a safe Republican district, and hopes that he will stay active in East Valley politics.

"It's a quixotic campaign, but he's very refreshing," Kavanaugh said. "I'm really impressed by his willingness to do it and to speak up on issues that, all too often, other politicians will obscure. His approach to issues, and his approach to life, is uniquely honest."

Democrats ask Republicans to vote Libertarian???

U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema is pretty well hated by folks who want to legalize marijuana after she tried to flush Prop 203, which is Arizona's Medical marijuana Act down the toilet by attempting to create a 300% tax on medical marijuana. (Technically Kyrsten Sinema claims to support decriminalizing marijuana, but if you look at her voting record that looks like a LIE)

U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema is also pretty well hated by the anti-war folks after she switched sides from an anti-war protester to a supporter of the police state and military industrial complex. (Technically she hasn't switched sides, but if you look at her voting records she consistently votes to support the police state and military industrial complex)

The only reason U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema got elected to her office in Congress is in the last election is enough Republicans voted for Libertarian Powell Gamil to cause the Republican guy Vernon Parker to lose the election.

If it has been Republican Vernon Parker in a vote with just Kyrsten Sinema, Vernon Parker would have won the election.

Now it looks like the Democrats are asking Republicans to vote for Libertarian Powell Gammill so Kyrsten Sinema can win next weeks election.

Last I don't like Powell Gammil because he is part of the Ernie Hancock, David Dorn phoney baloney Libertarians that screwed me over 15 years ago when David Dorn stared spreading lies that I was a government snitch.

Democrats send mailer backing Libertarian in tight congressional race

Rebekah L. Sanders, The Republic | azcentral.com 10:01 p.m. MST October 29, 2014

Democrats are mailing campaign fliers featuring a Libertarian candidate to conservative voters in a competitive Phoenix congressional race.

The effort could help U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., stay in office. Libertarian Powell Gammill assisted Sinema to victory last election by siphoning votes from her Republican challenger.

The mailers are part of the Democrats' political strategy, said DJ Quinlan, executive director of the Arizona Democratic Party. But he says the mailers don't ask voters to support Gammill, they simply point out his positions.

"It might be unconventional, sure, but deceptive it's surely not," Quinlan said. "It says right there: 'Paid for by the Arizona Democratic Party.'"

A spokesman for Sinema's Republican opponent, Wendy Rogers, said the mailers are a desperate ploy.

"If everything is hunky-dory, they wouldn't be mailing this," James Harris said. "It's deceiving of voters. It's highly unusual. ... It shows how nervous national Democrats are."

Sinema campaign spokeswoman Megan Cagle said the campaign was not involved in the mailers. She said she could not comment immediately on whether Sinema supported the tactic.

The mailers use language appealing to conservatives, pointing out that Gammill believes in eliminating foreign aid, funding for abortions and gun laws. "If he had his way, not a single cent of government money would go to fund an abortion for any reason," the mailer reads.

Gammill has run for office multiple times. In 2012, he captured nearly 17,000 votes. Sinema won the 9th District seat by about 10,000.

Though Libertarian candidates sometimes attract independents or Democrats as a protest vote, they more often gain votes at the expense of Republicans.

"Obviously we prefer Kyrsten Sinema," said Quinlan. But "our calculation is there are probably a lot of conservative voters who realize (Gammill) is a far more consistent conservative than Wendy Rogers. ... We're pretty much taking (Gammill's) positions directly from his website and sharing them."

Kyrsten Sinema supports the military industrial complex and the police state

When I first met Kyrsten Sinema she was an anti-war protester. I met her at the one of the first anti-war meetings after the American Empire started bombing Afghanistan. That was at the University Presbyterian Church on College & Alameda in Tempe.

Sadly it looks like Kyrsten Sinema had sold us out and now supports the military industrial complex along with the police state.

Kyrsten Sinema is also a big fan of the "War on Drugs", she is a hypocrite who claims to support decriminalizing marijuana. Kyrsten Sinema when she was a member of the Arizona Legislator she tried to slap a 300% tax on medical marijuana for the police unions which have always supported her.

Kyrsten Sinema is also a gun grabber who wants to flush the Second Amendment down the toilet.

Kyrsten Sinema is not our friend. Kyrsten Sinema is a tyrants who needs to be booted out of office.

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema 9:15 a.m. MST November 24, 2014

Rep. Sinema: We have a responsibility to support military personnel transitioning to civilian life.

November is Military Family Month, an opportunity to recognize military families for their service to our country and to reaffirm our commitment to supporting service members and their loved ones.

I understand the unique challenges military families face. My older brother is a retired Marine and my younger brother is on active duty in the Navy. Military families endure long separations; constant worry about the safety of their loved ones; and increased responsibilities while service members defend our country and protect our freedom.

Through all this and more, military families persevere.

Military families should not face these challenges alone. Providing these families with the care and support they deserve should be our top priority.

To honor their sacrifices, we should ensure that military family members have opportunities to develop skills and succeed in today's economy. Education is critical to achieving the American dream, and every military family member who wants to pursue an education should have the opportunity.

For example, Congress passed and the president signed into law our bipartisan legislation requiring public colleges and universities to provide in-state tuition to veterans and dependents, regardless of their home state. I passed a similar law while in the Arizona Legislature and was proud to make this tuition benefit a national policy.

Military families should have access to vital services like child care and housing assistance. Too often military families are left without the support they need. Paulette from Tempe faced foreclosure after tragically losing her husband, a Vietnam veteran. Our office successfully worked with her to expedite survivor benefits that enabled Paulette to keep her home. Military families should not face these challenges, which is why I cosponsored the Military Family Home Protection Act to better protect military families from losing their homes by strengthening foreclosure protections.

We have a responsibility to support military personnel transitioning to civilian life. Enabling transitioning soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines to find jobs is one of the best ways to provide that support. I am proud to cosponsor the Troop Talent Act, bipartisan legislation to assist returning service members in leveraging their military training and skills to obtain certifications and licenses needed for civilian employment. This common-sense bill makes it easier for transitioning service members or members of the reserve component, like those in the Arizona National Guard, to translate their skills into civilian jobs. By doing so, we support military families, grow our economy, and strengthen our nation.

We still have much more work to do.

Providing military families with the support they deserve requires sustained local, national, and community-level efforts, and it takes more than the work done by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. It involves leveraging community providers to increase awareness among military families about available resources while they serve and as they transition to civilian life. It takes companies like Intel in Chandler hiring military veterans and military family members, who have a tremendous work ethic and extraordinary skills that will benefit our communities. It means we must work together to ensure that all military families get the support they deserve.

This month reminds us of the sacrifices military families make every day. This month and every month, we share the responsibility of supporting them. To military families in Arizona and across our country, thank you; we stand with you.

Kyrsten Sinema wants to involved Federal cops in local prostitution crimes.

Arizona Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema seems to be a big fan of giving the police money to put people in prison for victimless crimes that hurt no one.

First she tried to help her police buddies flush Arizona's Medical Marijuana Act down the toilet by attempting to pass a 300% tax on medical marijuana. That was when she was a member of the Arizona Legislator, not the US Congress.

Now she is trying to create a jobs program for her Federal police buddies by letting Federal cops help local cops make arrests for victimless prostitution crimes.

Last time I checked prostitution was NOT a federal crime, but rather a state crime and Federal police have no authority to arrest people for it.

Kyrsten Sinema is a lawyer and I am sure she knows this is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

"Sinema's goal to involve the DOJ and DHS is in the hope of uniting agencies from the state, local and federal level to combat prostitution, she said."
Of course if I had my way I would legalize ALL victimless crimes, which includes prostitution and of course victimless drug war crimes.

Sinema calls for federal help in combating human trafficking during Super Bowl

By Mark Remillard, | November 24, 2014 @ 6:11 am

PHOENIX -- Arizona Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema is calling for federal help in combating human trafficking when the Super Bowl comes to Arizona next year.

Sinema sent letters to the departments of Justice and Homeland Security last week asking for support in combating a prevalent and serious crime that often sees a surge during the big game.

"We know that human trafficking is a multi-billion dollar a year industry in the United States of America and that is often intensified around major international events like the Super Bowl," Sinema said.

Sinema's goal to involve the DOJ and DHS is in the hope of uniting agencies from the state, local and federal level to combat prostitution, she said.

"While we do have a robust task force established by the governor and we do have a good state a local coordination effort, we'd like to see expanded coordination by DHS and the DOJ to put more boots on the ground and more eyes here in Arizona to seek out, identified and aggressively prosecute these human trafficking rings that exist in Arizona," she said.

Sinema said the federal agencies will be able to provide additional resources that might not otherwise be available at the state and local level.

"The real significance really comes with resources, expertise and knowledge," she said. "With their ability to communicate back and forth across agencies, their ability to share information and their ability to seek out and utilize information at a level that may be different than, although complimentary with, the state and local levels."

Sinema said it could take a few weeks to learn whether the DHS or DOJ will decide to provide additional help.
