Homeless in Arizona

Nov 9 - Will Humble speaks at HSGP meeting

Will Humble, Director, AZ Dept. of Health Services will talk at Nov 9 HSGP meeting in Mesa.

The meeting is FREE and open to the PUBLIC. Breakfast is $5 if you want it.

I initially told people that Will Humble was going to talk about medical marijuana at this HSGP meeting in Mesa.

As you can see that is not the case.

But in the question & answer session of the meeting I suspect you will be allowed to sneak in a question about medical marijuana.

HSGP meets in Mesa near Westwood High School.

It's located at 627 W. Rio Salado Parkway.

The address used to be 627 W. 8th Street, but the name was changed from 8th Street to Rio Salado Parkway.

HSGP is the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix

Sunday Speaker Meeting, Nov 9:

Will Humble, Director, AZ Dept. of Health Services

“Vaccination & the Social Contract”

Vaccination exemption rates are going up in AZ schools.

"Interestingly, the areas of the state that think of themselves as more progressive and socially conscious are the areas

with the highest exemption rates (e.g. Sedona, Flagstaff etc). Parents with a high and educational training have the highest exemption rates. Interesting paradox."

Will Humble will talk about the medical and ethical aspects of vaccination.

He will also give us an update on Ebola.

Q&A to follow presentation.

Sunday, November 9, 2014, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Doors open 9:00 AM for optional breakfast ($5)
