Mikel Weisser New State Deputy Director for NORML in Arizona

Michael, Mike, Mikel Weisser New State Deputy Director for NORML in Arizona - I think he is with Kathy and supports the MPP or Marijuana Policy Project initiative According to this press release from Daron Babin, Mikel Weisser is the new state deputy director for NORML in Arizona.

I think both from Daron Babin and Mikel Weisser support the MPP or Marijuana Policy Project phoney baloney initiative to legalize marijuana in Arizona.

I think officially Daron Babin has to be neutral on it, but from the comments I have heard he seems to support it.

Mikel Weisser left Safer Arizona when they switched sides and supported AZfrm initiative.

Mikel Weisser New State Deputy Director for NORML in Arizona

The Board of Directors for NORML in Arizona has unanimously voted to appoint a new State Deputy Director to join the leadership. With much discussion during our need to both grow our organization, while adding to the activist leadership…we are pleased to welcome aboard the team Mikel Weisser.

Mikel Weisser is one of Arizona’s most visible marijuana reformers. A former social studies teacher and longtime political humorist, with Master’s Degrees from the University of Illinois and Northern Arizona University.

Weisser is also a two-time Congressional candidate and represented Arizona at the 2012 national Occupy convention. In addition to his own pro-cannabis campaigns, Weisser is the former vice chair of the Arizona Democratic Party’s Progressive Caucus and responsible for the Arizona Democratic Party’s 2014 resolution calling for cannabis legalization.

In 2013 Weisser helped found Arizona’s outspoken grassroots organization, Safer Arizona. Weisser served as the group’s political director and legislative liaison from 2013-2014 and executive director for 2014-2015. As such he helped shepherd two cannabis reform bills through the state house. Weisser is also very familiar with the political process, which makes him an asset to our organization. A popular entertainer and statewide political activist, Weisser also currently serves as the field coordinator for Arizonans for Safe Access.

Mikel is one of the rare breed of activists who lives, breathes and bleeds for the cause driving from one corner of the state to the other…extolling the benefits of the plant. Telling his story, and sharing how legalization will make Arizona a better place to live.

On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, please help us welcome our new State Deputy Director for NORML in Arizona…Mikel Weisser.

Sincerely,

Daron Babin
