When it comes to taxing the krap out of medical marijuana patients, Arizona is probably the biggest ripoff state in the union.
I saw a recent article in which the US Department of Justice said that it's a violation of the 8th Amendment to pass laws making it illegal for homeless people to sleep on public property. The article says making it illegal for homeless people to sleep outside is "cruel and unusual punishment".
I suspect that the same thing could be said about forcing homeless or poor people to pay the outrageous rip off price of $75 or $150 for a medical marijuana card or face felony charges for using or possessing marijuana.
Also when it comes to draconian marijuana Arizona is also one of the worst states in the nation.
In Arizona possession of any microscopic amount of marijuana is a felony. Also using marijuana is a felony.
RAD (Relegalize All Drugs) and AZfmr (Arizonans for Mindful Regulation) are trying to change that.
