I have been down to the Arizona Secretary of State Elections office a few times over the last several years asking questions about filing initiatives.
Each time I have been to your office on the 7th floor at the Arizona State Capital on
1700 W Washington in Phoenix you have told me that when a person wants to file
an initiative to be on the Arizona ballot that you have an option of having the folks
at JLBC review the proposed initiative before filing it at the Arizona Secretary of State's Office.
Yesterday when I was down at your office you even gave me the phone number and address of
the folks at JLBC so I could talk to them about reviewing the initiative I want to place on the ballot.
You gave me the correct address of JBLC, but you gave me the incorrect phone number
That information is:
Joint Legislative Budget Committee
1716 W Adams
Phoenix, AZ
(602)926-5491
I figured out the correct phone number for them and called them.
I talked to a guy named Steve Schimpp at JLBC and he said that you don't do any of the things that you folks at the Arizona Secretary of State's office claim they do.
What is the deal?
Did I talk to the wrong person at JLBC? And if so who do I contact. What is their phone number and email.
Or was the Steve Schimpp guy correct and JBLC doesn't do any of the things that you folks at the Arizona Secretary of State's office claim they do.
Thanks
