Homeless folks can't check their guns at the CASS homeless shelter???
At a protest on Mill Avenue for gun rights and gay marriage rights I was talking to some people who said that CASS, which is a government shelter for homeless people doesn't allow homeless people with guns there. Per Arizona law, if a government entity bans guns from their buildings or property they are required by law to allow the people to check their guns with the government agency for safe keeping. I wrote this email to CASS and they seem to be violating the law by refusing to allow homeless people with guns to use their property.
Guns on Valley Metro BusesI beleive maybe 10, 15 years ago Valley Metro was hit with a lawsuit because they refused to allow bus passengers to carry guns on Phoenix area buses. While Valley Metro has every right to ban guns on their buses they MUST per Arizona law allow passengers who have guns to check their guns with the bus driver. Because having the bus driver check the guns of passengers who board Valley Metro buses I beleive that Valley Metro changed it's policy and now allows passengers to carry guns on Valley Metro buses and light rail trains. I think it would be a great idea to sue CASS and get a court to order CASS to check the guns of any homeless people that need their services.
